Stents are often used to treat narrowing of arteries or to block aneurisms. Future application of non-invasive intravascular (endovascular) stents might be accomplished through the use of an injection of minute inert but magnetic interlocking “nanites” or ferro-fluidic building blocks that can be positioned through an imposed magnetic field to position and coat the interior surfaces and the use of an acoustic or RF field to heat the building blocks thus hardening the nanites into position.
